“The Waco Tea Party is excited to have Mr. Churchwell and Mr. Irvine from Accuracy in Media as instructors at our August 13th ‘Grassroots Survival School’” said Toby Walker, President of the Waco Tea Party. “With so many new organizers entering the trenches, it is imperative that they and other grassroots activists understand how to combat media bias — using the media to their advantage.” |
Accuracy in Media will lead discussions focusing on media engagement, communication techniques, Web 2.0 tools and effective grassroots messaging for activists from all parts of Texas. “I am thrilled that Accuracy in Media will be partnering with the Waco Tea Party this year,” Chairman Don Irvine said. “We at AIM have taken it upon ourselves to help engage and train grassroots activists for 2012 and beyond.” |
“Our seminar participants will learn tested methods for effective media relations that can be put to use in the field,” AIM Director of Public Relations, Logan Churchwell said. “These activists cannot expect a free pass. It is imperative that they learn how to effectively communicate both through and, if necessary, around the media to help promote their cause.” Read more at www.aim.org |
